Class Policies

How We Communicate

We primarily communicate via email. Please do not choose the “opt out” option on your online account. We send periodic emails about registration, performances and other vital information via email. If you “opt out” you will not receive important studio updates. We do not share our email information with any outside vendors.

Dropping a Class

Notice must be given via email (Christina@CrescendoKC.com) at least one week prior to the first of the month to avoid tuition charge for the month.

Regardless of whether a student is attending class/classes, the studio will continue to charge the account for any and all fees until the office has been notified of the change.

Once the tuition is paid, there will be no refunds or pro-rating for student withdrawals.

Make-Up Policies

Make-up classes must be taken within thirty days of the absence.

Make-up classes are available for unavoidable absences (illness, injury, family emergencies), and for weather closings (see Inclement Weather Policy).

Missed classes cannot be made up unless tuition is paid in full.

Make up classes are only available to currently enrolled students. You cannot make-up classes once you drop.

Students can make-up in a class that is equal to their current level or one level below their current level.

Make-ups from the school year will not carry over into the next session.

There are no refunds for missed classes.

Missed classes cannot be applied to subsequent months’ tuition.

Tuition Policy

All tuition is due on the 1sth of the month and is late after the 10th. Any account not paid within by the 10th of the month will be charged a $10.00 late fee. Students who fall two months behind on payments will not be allowed to take dance class until the account is paid in full with cash or credit card, including late fees. Refunds

No refunds or credits are given for missed classes, family trips or vacations during the school year, or for closings due to inclement weather.

Refunds will not be issued for tuition, registration fees, recital tickets, or costume balances. No exceptions.

Inclement Weather

Crescendo Conservatory will announce closings due to inclement weather via email, on our website and on our social media.

We will follow the Olathe school district for closings in most instances.

Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will not be refunded or rescheduled. Students who miss class due to inclement weather are encouraged to schedule a make-up class.
